The scattered blanket of green tree leaves,
The echoes of cheers for the warrior they thought they would receive.
I rode on by and waved around.
If only they knew they’d be the ones to burry me in the ground.
I can see the hope in every child’s eyes as they lay down each palm;
I was sent down to make sure both the sinners and the saints were no longer in harm.
This day is more monumental than some may believe,
Because today is the day I reached the city where I finish what I came to achieve.
